August and September brings hurricanes to the Altlantic. They are usually tropical storms by the time they reach Newfoundland but can give us high winds and lots of rain. The best ones are those that stay out to sea but still send us some beautiful waves. These photographs were taken on August 29 & 30 and are the results of Hurricane Danielle. (I wrote that shortly before Hurricane Igor passed by. I really prefer the ones that stay out to sea!!) |
